One More Time

February 28, 2014
“If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you?  Even ‘sinners’ love those who love them.  And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you?  Even ‘sinners’ do that.  And if you lend to those from whom you expect re-payment, what credit is that to you?  Even ‘sinners’ lend to ‘sinners’, expecting to be re-paid in full.  But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back.  Then your reward will be great and you will be sons of the Most High, because He is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.  Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.”               Luke 6: 32-36
These same verses are hitting me again with truth that I cannot escape.  We are all called to love and serve everyone.  To be good and kind to them, and always be merciful.  How we treat people is very important and it matters not if they are sinners, ungrateful, or even wicked.  And perhaps it is them we are called to accept and love the most.
For that to happen we need to be in the world where they live and not hiding out in some “church” building.  Many “Christians” today are all about escaping the world and staying away from sinners.  They treat their “church buildings” like they are some kind of fortress that keeps the world out and sinners far away.
Jesus ate and hung out with sinners all the time.  So why shouldn’t we?  Instead of avoiding those who need Jesus..we should be in contact with them all the time.  That is why I love working with addicts.  We need to be in the world, but not of it.  Because in Jesus we have nothing to fear.  ”It is not the healthy that need a doctor, but the sick.”  A healthy church is one who sends out people to meet the needs of those who need help the most.  Staying in the sanctuary does not help anyone.
The healthiest churches are the ones who stress the fact that EVERYONE is a missionary.  Missions are not just about reaching third world countries; true missions are about reaching your neighbors first and then spreading out to the rest of the world.  ANYONE can be a missionary.  The only equipping and training you really need comes directly from the Holy Spirit.  If you have accepted Christ as your Lord you already are a missionary and there are people in your life right now that need God’s help as it flows through your very own life.  Don’t worry about being qualified or called.  The fact is that Jesus makes you qualified and you are already called.
What are we waiting for?  You know the truth in love…so just walk in it!  In Christ you are already capable of bearing good fruit.  Just spread out your branches and allow people to start eating now.  Stop waiting for someone special to do it for you or give you permission.  In Jesus you are that special person.  So please step up and go for it now!
Love and…

I know I’ve shared this before but perhaps I will again here. After having come out and walked on from the hierarchy I was sharing with someone about how the Lord hung out with the prostitutes, fishermen, street folk, etc when He spoke to me “I also had dinner with the Pharisees and visited the synagogues regularly. And I died for them all too…..”. Not saying He didn’t usually end up making them mad or rebuking them because He did; but sometimes we can find ourselves on the other side of the finger pointing ditch. I honestly am not saying anyone here is or has done that (I sure know Chris & his heart and it is FAR from there); I just feel to share my own experience. I am thankful for all those people (not alot) who visited me when I was the Pharisee and planted the seed that sprouted to slowly open these eyes to a wicked, devilish system that places men between God & His people. Love, “BK”

  2. Yes there is only one mediator between God and Man. Christ the propitiation not only for any of our sins, yet the whole worlds.
And man has done a great job in trying to intervene as the mediator between the Laymen and Christ.
Thankful Christ is preached whether in contention, strife, sincerely or not, Christ is preached

  3. Salvation:
You see a person drowning, yelling for help, you pick them up out of the water, and on the way to delivering them to the shore, the person says hey you got a cigarette and any whiskey, then cusses about why we was drowning, what do you do?
    A. Throw him back in the water
    B. Tell him, not to do this or that he must behave or else
    C. Deliver him safely to shore no matter what he does or says

What great thoughts here today! You still get them safely to shore, expound Jesus to them and leave the rest up to the Holy Spirit. One plants, another waters, but God gives the increase. Let’s live Him!

  5. If the “salt of the earth,” the ekklesia, is bound up in salt shakers with steeple caps on them He will shake the “shakers” until they break and the salt spills all over the place like happened in China in 1947 under the communists and hundreds of other places in the world where they are burning down church buildings.

  6. Hey Chris, The problem….shall I utter it once again…is Christianity. The problem IS THE CHURCH. You cannot live like Jesus if you congregate under the protection of a exclusionary elitist religious system It will NEVER connect us with God. If you are looking for Satan’s plan look no further than the Church, for the Church is the only plan Satan needs.

Getting “saved” then going to church, is the same as getting born, and being told the way to live is to climb into a coffin. Don’t do it. I do not care how compelling the supposed safety and comradery of the group looks, it is death. Christ died to connect us INDIVIDUALLY with Father, heart to heart, spirit to Spirit. The world system loves church, it invented church.

How may we live? We may live as individual seekers of God, who, when God occasions it, has love connections with other children who are coming to understand their significance as Father’s children. But of a magnitude I cannot fully describe, it is Father to Child, NOT Father to church. to child. Then who is the church? None other than a usurper. whose other names we already know.

  7. Wow, great comments everyone!
