Out Of Darkness

May 17, 2013

“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.  Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord.  Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.”  Ephesians 5: 8-11

So in Christ we are now light in the Lord.  We were once darkness, self centered and sin focused.  However, now that we are light we are concerned with the needs of others and fully focused on grace for all.

A major purpose of the light is to expose what lies in the darkness.  Speaking out against the fruitless deeds of darkness is something that all followers of Jesus should be doing.  Many ask me why I speak out against the ungodly, traditional, institutional, “church”, system.  I speak out because His light is in me and I desire to see everyone set free from darkness.  I want the truth in love to be seen and received by those who are enslaved by the dark system.

The light should shine bright into all the darkened corners of the man-focused “church” system.  The Clergy/laity division needs to be fully exposed so that The Priesthood of all believers and every member ministry can again flow forth as He intended.  The “church” has been operating by the ways of man instead of the ways of God for over 1700 years.  Every human hierarchy within the “church” needs to be toppled.  We need to be Spirit led and not man, Pastor, or bible led.  We need to expose those who use the bible as leverage to control the masses and keep human Leadership intact,

Today is the day to shine forth as His Holy Light and expose and render to no effect the controlling ways of man’s ungodly system of doing “church”.  Man’s “Church” is a multi-billion dollar industry that needs to be destroyed by the Light.  The true Church should be continually broke because we have given every penny away to the orphans, widows, the poor and homeless; instead of paying Clergy salaries, building mortgages, and institutional maintenance.

Now is the time to stop GOING to Church and really start BEING the Church.  Church is not something you do or go to; it is something that you are in Christ.  Today is the day to step out of the darkness of men and into the glorious Light of our one true King and Lord Jesus Christ.

Love and …..

  1. Jesus – Whoever harms one of these little ones who believe in me, it would be better for that person to have a millstone hung around their neck and cast into the sea.

I can think of no greater harm than making effectual orphans out of believers who otherwise would grow up into a beautiful relationship with their Heaven Father. When church leaders usurp Father’s role in our lives, it is equivalent to spiritual kidnapping.

Thank you for sounding the alarm.

    By the rivers of Babylon—
there we sat down and wept
    when we remembered Zion.
There we hung up our lyres
    on the poplar trees,
for our captors there asked us for songs,
    and our tormentors, for rejoicing:
“Sing us one of the songs of Zion.”

How can we sing the Lord’s song
    on foreign soil?
    If I forget you, Jerusalem,
may my right hand forget its skill.
May my tongue stick to the roof of my mouth
if I do not remember you,
if I do not exalt Jerusalem as my greatest joy!

Remember, Lord, what the Edomites said
    that day at Jerusalem:
    “Destroy it! Destroy it
    down to its foundations!”
    Daughter Babylon, doomed to destruction,
happy is the one who pays you back
what you have done to us.
Happy is he who takes your little ones
and dashes them against the rocks

The other day I was on the phone with a brother who *retreated* back into the system some 15 yrs ago after experiencing the real thing. He was explaining how the Lord was speaking to him concerning the traditions that his church was clinging to, and went on to tell me how he sensed that they were just going through the motions. He mentioned that he sensed that perhaps he was to *bring a word* to the pastor and congregation.

He also mentioned that the Lord asked him if he would be obedient even if it brought division. This brother feels that if he brings this *word* he could very well be asked to leave. You see his wife divorced him about eight years ago, but he has continued to attend church with her and their two daughters. One of his daughters was so distraught several years ago because her mom thought it better if her and the girls not attend the same church as their dad. This brother’s one daughter threw such a stink it dissuaded her mother, so the whole family goes to church together. I wonder if the Lord is testing this brother to show him who/Who has the pre-eminence in his life.

I could sense this brother was really being stirred in his spirit. It was so refreshing and encouraging to hear LIFE springing forth from him. It was during our conversation that he mentions to me how the Lord brought to his attention psalm 137 and then he went on to read it over the phone. The urgency in this his voice was quite obvious, and I sensed something BIG going on behind the scenes.

Now I get the sense that this brother is unaware of the full spiritual implications of that psalm, and I admit that neither do I. I’ve been quite frank with this brother in the past telling him that the system is simply Babylon, which I felt fell on deaf ears. However, the Lord is quite capable to speak truth and it appears that this brother’s ears are being opened.

Bill, did the brother you mention speak yet? I am praying so earnestly for him. I believe sometimes the Lord the ‘full implication’ of what He speaks to us because it’s best we don’t know until after the fact! 🙂 I am reminded of a time we had been asked to share in a ‘church’ how to just undo the hierarchy and ‘be a body’. It was a beautiful day of discussion by everyone, including the pastor of said church. They were going to give it a try the following Sunday. Sunday came and you could feel ‘doom’ in the air. The pastor had the assistant pastor (who was not there the previous Sunday ‘bring the message’) It was awful….the usual “we wouldn’t be in such bad shape if we would pray more, support the ministry more, give more…more, more, more.” As he spoke I asked the Lord if He wanted me to interrupt and tell him he was destroying the listeners? He said, “No. I have given something to Elisabeth to say.” Elisabeth was sittting next to me and at that exact moment she leaned over and said, “BK”! I feel the Lord wants me to say something, what do you think?” Shocked I said, “You better say it.” When the sermon was over the pastor stood up, saying what a great sermon that was and now we’ll take the offering, sing three choruses (he literallys said this) and then have an altar call. Elisabeth raised her hand and the pastor acknowledged her (up till then she had attended this church and was beloved and respected there). She stood up, visibly shaking, tears running down her face. She had the Sunday flier in her hand. When she spoke I told the Lord silently (Sheesh…..when You tell me someone’s going to say something, You could at least prepare me!). She said, “That was NOT the word of the Lord today. That was satan! Here’s the word of the Lord to our church today.” She read from the flier a verse they had printed about “Because you have rejected My words I am going to judge you…..”. She said again, “THIS is the Word of the Lord this morning!” slammed the flier on the seat and walked out. Whew. The pastor stood up and said, “Well. I think it was a good sermon so we’re going to take an offering, sing three choruses and have an altar call.” 😦 Beth’s dad asked me, “You think we should leave?”
I did, and we did. Elisabeth continued to go to that church, loved & respected, until it withered and dissolved in less than a year. So, yes, I am praying for this brother; and for the church he feels to speak to. It is the mercy of the Lord that he does. Love, “BK”

BK, I appreciate your prayers for our brother, Bart. I did talk with him the other day and he has yet to say anything. He did mention that he talked with the former youth pastor of his church(he either stepped down or altogether left because of fleshly politics) and another congregant about starting up a simple home gathering with prayer, scripture reading, and whatever else the Spirit brought forth. The former youth pastor was all gung-ho but the other brother thought they should run it by the pastor of the church first, which truly repulsed Bart.

So, BK, what ended up happening with Elizabeth after the church dissolved?
