Beam Me Up Scotty

November 12, 2012

Greetings,

“Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts.  But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.  Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.  And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever- increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”  2 Corinthians 3: 15-18

Busy weekend for me, but I will make a quick Star Trek observation.  When we turn to the Lord the veil that separates us from being able to enter into a full relationship with Him is beamed away.  Receiving His Spirit sets us free to fully understand not only the scriptures, but also who God really is and who we are in Him.

When we allow His Spirit to enter us we are transformed.  It is as if we are fully taken apart and then reformed and recombined with The Holy Spirit now at our core.  When we surrender to The Lord it is like He hits us with His Holy transporter beam.  We enter into Him at one point with our old nature still intact; and we then exit at the exact point He desires us to be and we are made totally new and reborn in The Spirit.  I realize this is a totally deep and mind-blowing revelation, but this is what He revealed unto me again today.  I dare not add to it or subtract.

Love and ….

  1. Yes, Captain. When we truly believe unto salvation we actually believe INTO Christ (Check out your salvation verses and the Greek in each of them is INTO, not “believe upon” or “blelieve in” or “faith unto salvation” – see John 3:15&15 and 6:29 and 1 Peter 1:5 for instance).Saving faith places us IN Him (we are beamed into the Father ship if you please, by faith) From there on out we abide IN Christ and He in us like the branch abides in the Vine and its life flow in the vine. We are not on our own, but IN Him. Fruit is not somethign we struggle to make or do if we abide. It comes naturally as a result of our abiding life IN Him. Look up all the IN verses and think about it as litterally where you are: “We are more than overcomers IN Christ Jesus.” “IN Him we live and move and have our being.” “IN Christ there is not bond nor free, Jew nor Gentile, male nor female,” etc. This is why we must have new minds… the mind of Christ in us to see and live life accordingly as He does and did with the Father. “I and my Father are one.” He prayed at the end, “Father that they might be one just as we are one… that they may be one IN us.”

Oh, Father, open our eyes to what a great salvation we have in your Son that we might truly live and move and have our whole beings in Jesus and no other. Amen

  2. Brother well said! Hope you have a great day today.
    Marc

  3. I believe it. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV).
