The Next Generation

October 25, 2012

I am just home from the hospital in Kalamazoo and I am glad to announce the birth of my first grandchild.  He is a boy named Kaden Joseph Lunger.  He was born at 6:45 Am, today October 24th.  He was 20.5 inches long and weighed 7 pounds and 13 ounces.  His mother Becca is recovering nicely and father Kyle is taking great care of them both.  Kaden took to breastfeeding right away.

This new Grandfather could not possibly be happier at this moment in his life.  The Lord has blessed me in so many ways these last several weeks.  My children are all doing quite well and add to that a healthy grandson, a supportive network of housechurches, great friends, and a blossoming relationship…who could ask for more?  In addition to all that, PTSD symptoms are barely there at all.

Relationships are the most important things in our lives.  All I want to do is honor God, love my family, and serve those in need.  Dare I say …Life is good!

Love and….
