True Prayer

Greetings,

“For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom His whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name.  I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.  And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.  Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!  Amen.  Ephesians 3: 14-21

Wow, what an awesome prayer!  I am battling a nasty virus, so this won’t be a lengthy blog today.  However, when I read this passage today it just felt right to post it here today.  To me true prayer is all about Him and little about us.  It is all about His strength, His power, His Spirit, His faith and His love and not about our abilities to pray or do anything else.  He knows before we even ask, what we need and when we need it.  Yet He remains patient with us and invites us into continual communication with Him.  So please take a moment today and read this prayer and then apply it to whatever situation you find yourself in.  I also would certainly appreciate your prayers for my health today.  I know from faith and experience that prayer can change things for the better.  Many times He does not change the storm we find ourselves in, but He can always give us His peace in the midst of the storm.  No matter what; Jesus is for you and not against you.
